How to Clean Henna

Henna is a dye commonly used on hair, skin and fabric. It can be auburn, orange, red, or brown in color. Once applied, henna cannot be instantly removed. It naturally lightens and self-removes over time. However, if you wish to remove henna dye or clean henna dye that spilled, you can speed the naturally lightening process.

Things You'll Need :
Cotton rags or balls
Hydrogen peroxide
Hair conditioner
Soap

Instructions :

Wipe, rinse or remove as much of the henna paste from the affected area as soon as possible. The longer the paste sits on skin, hair, fabric or a surface, the darker the coloring will become and the longer it will take to remove.

Soak cotton rags or cotton balls in hydrogen peroxide. Rub over the henna stain.

Rub hair conditioner into the henna stain. Allow the conditioner to dry before removing.

Clean skin, hair, fabric or surface as often as possible with soap and water as hot as the surface can withstand. For hair, shampoo can be used in place of soap. For fabric, laundry detergent can be used in place of soap.

Repeat any or all of the processes as needed until the henna dye is removed.
